If you would like to reset your password, you are able to change it in the Tims Financial tile in the Tim Hortons app.

 To reset your password:

  1. From the Tims Financial tile click on the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen to access your account settings.
  2. Choose Authentication Options from the settings menu.
  3. Click the update button next to the password field, this will take you to the update password page.
  4. On the update password page, enter your current password.
  5. Follow the instructions to create a new password of your choice.
  6. Confirm your new password by entering it again.

Always protect your password and try to select one that is easy to remember but hard to guess.  

  • Avoid words that others may know or easily guess such as those related to your birthdate, anniversary or family members’ names.
  • Use different passwords for different uses (such as other financial accounts, emails, social network, and other online accounts).  Having a different password for each of your important accounts reduces the risk that all of them are immediately accessible if just one of them is compromised.
  • Add complexity by making your password longer than the minimum requirements and inserting numbers and characters.
  • Don’t write down your password. It is better to forget your password than potentially expose it to others because it has been written down.  If you need to write it down, then you may have to bring it with you - that makes it more likely that others nearby will see it.
  • Don’t share your password with anyone. If you forget your password, immediately get in touch with a Customer Support  representative. Never email your password to anyone. If you suspect your card or password has been lost or stolen or your account has been otherwise compromised, call Customer Support immediately.

That's it - you have successfully reset your password! Remember to use your new password to access your account from now on.
