The annual percentage rates (APR) for your credit card are the yearly interest rates for borrowing money or taking a cash advance.

When you apply for a credit card from Tims Financial, we tell you the APRs you’re eligible for. Changes to your APRs aren’t available by request, and your APRs may change periodically.

Changes to APRs

Currently, you cannot request changes to your APRS, but we may periodically change ‌interest rates.

Reasons why APRs are changed

APRs for your credit card may be changed due to (but not limited to the following) adjustments to national interest rates, or if you have missed payments to your credit card account.

You’ve missed some payments: If you’ve missed the minimum payment for two consecutive statements, your APRs may be increased to default APR rates. To bring your APRs back to the standard rates, you will need to make payments on time for three consecutive statements. The payment amounts must be at least the minimum payment mentioned in your statements.

Credit rate adjustments (for Quebec)

Currently, changes to your credit rate aren’t available on request, but we may periodically change rates. We’ll let you know if there are any changes to your rates.
